Are you getting ready for the thrill of IndyCar on the streets of Downtown St. Pete? St. Pete will host again the 2020 IndyCar season opener from March 13th thru 15th with the signature 110 lap event on Sunday, March 15th.
Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg 2020 is a 1.8-mile, 14-turn temporary street circuit through downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, including a runway of Albert Whitted Airport. Along the track Indy Cars traveling as fast as 170mph pass Mahaffey Theater, The Dali Museum and other DTSP landmarks. Last year an estimated 140,000 people attended the race and organizers this year hope to beat last year’s attendance for 2020. Don’t miss out this event right in DTSP! If IndyCar racing is not your thing but running is Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg also features a 5K foot race. Participants get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience every curve and straightaway of the track as they run, walk or wheel around the waterfront race course.
